By accessing or using PlayOn ("the Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Platform. These Terms apply to all users including players, team managers, and league organizers.
You must be at least 18 years of age to use this Platform. By using the Platform, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement.
PlayOn is a community sports league management platform that facilitates connections between individual players and sports teams, enables league registration and scheduling, and processes payments for player bookings. We act as a marketplace intermediary and are not a party to any agreement between players and teams.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
Your username is publicly visible on the platform. You agree not to impersonate any person or entity or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity.
All payments on the Platform are processed by Stripe, a third-party payment processor. By making a payment, you agree to Stripe's Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
When a player accepts a booking request, the team is required to pay a 10% deposit to secure the booking. The remaining balance is due after both the player and team have completed pre-game verification. The full payment is released to the player within 24 hours of both parties verifying.
PlayOn charges a service fee on transactions to cover platform operating costs. The service fee percentage is displayed clearly during the booking checkout process. Fees are subject to change with 30 days' notice.
You are solely responsible for determining and paying any applicable taxes arising from your use of the Platform. PlayOn does not provide tax advice.
If a booking is declined or cancelled before the deposit is paid, no charges are made and no refund is necessary.
If a booking is cancelled after the deposit has been paid, the deposit is non-refundable unless the cancellation is due to a verified platform error or the other party fails to fulfil their obligations. Refund requests must be submitted within 7 days of the cancellation via the Contact Us page.
If a dispute arises regarding a payment, either party may file a dispute via the platform. Our support team will review the dispute within 5 business days. Decisions made by PlayOn regarding disputes are final. For payment disputes involving Stripe, you may also contact Stripe directly.
Chargebacks filed directly with your card issuer without first contacting PlayOn support may result in account suspension.
You agree not to:
League organizers who submit leagues for approval represent that they have the authority to organize the league and that all information provided is accurate. PlayOn reserves the right to reject or remove any league submission at its sole discretion. Approved leagues may be suspended or removed if they violate these Terms or platform guidelines.
The PlayOn name, logo, and platform design are the intellectual property of PlayOn. User-generated content (profiles, bios, listings) remains the property of the user, but you grant us a non-exclusive licence to display it on the Platform.
The Platform is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. PlayOn does not guarantee the accuracy of user-provided information, the availability of players or teams, or the outcome of any booking or league participation.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, PlayOn shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Platform, including but not limited to lost revenue, lost data, or personal injury arising from sporting activities.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these Terms, fraudulent activity, or at our sole discretion with reasonable notice. Upon termination, your right to use the Platform ceases immediately. Pending transactions will be handled in accordance with our refund policy.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta, Canada, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Alberta.
We may modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via email to registered users at least 14 days before taking effect. Continued use of the Platform after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
